This is the entrance to the castle. Unfortunately we could not enter it. The Prince of the country of Liechtenstein does actually reside here, so entering was off limits.

Vaduz Castle is high above the city. As you can see it lies on the edge of a cliff. You can walk up there on a designated path or drive.

This is the main shopping district of Vaduz. Only the occasional car comes along this way as it is a pedestrian area. The city of Vaduz has only about 5000 inhabitants.

Vaduz is the capital of Liechtenstein. The country of Liechtenstein lies to the east of Switzerland and is about 4 miles wide by 16 miles long. Yes, very small.

Yes, it looks like the U.S. Wal-Marts, but also different. Inside was even more different, but it would be too much for me to describe at this time.

I couldn’t stand not going to Wal-Mart, so I had to make a trip to Freiburg. It was great and I got my Wal-Mart fix.
