This is the group of echolocation learners talking a little more about things, asking questions, and putting their learning into action.
In this picture, Daniel Kish is teaching someone how to use echolocation. He places a flat object on one side of the person’s head and asks that person to tell him which side it is on by clicking their tongue and listening for a close echo back.
Daniel Kish held a seminar in Switzerland to teach some blind/visually impaired how to use echolocation. In this picture, he is talking about the theory and application of echolocation.

In June 2006, I accompanied a group of blind hikers. It was a three day hike in the mountains of Switzerland. We stayed in mountain chalets, which was very fun and different for me. The leader of the group was Daniel Kish, from California, who is a teacher of echolocation.

After walking all over and taking the boat over and back from the rock, we finally found someone who could take a decent picture. We tried getting a picture on the rock, but the person ended up taking a picture of his own face and then his finger. I didn’t think a digital camera could be so difficult.
